A wonderful week

The last week was amazing for me and my novel, “Species Unknown.” We sold the 1,000th copy on Amazon, a significant milestone for independent authors. Most first-time self-published authors make few sales beyond family and friends. That means they are fortunate if they sell more than 100 copies. For sales of “Species Unknown” to hit 10 times that figure without much advertising beyond word of mouth is wonderful. The news inspired me to kick my work on the sequel up a notch and we’re still hoping for a fall release.

“Species Unknown has consistently been ranked in the Top 10 of Amazon’s Christian Fantasy category for the last month and today has crossed into the Top 20 in Amazon’s Christian Science Fiction category. It’s also been doing great at goodreads.com where today it hit No. 1 in the Christian Science Fiction & Steampunk category.

Reader reviews are needed and very much appreciated. If you’ve read “Species Unknown” and are willing to review it, here are a couple of links where you can do so.

Species Unknown in Amazon’s Top 5

Today for the fourth time in three weeks, “Species Unknown” has made it into the Top 5 best-sellers on Amazon’s Christian Fantasy category. The novel is also trending in the Christian Science Fiction category.

When the book first made it into the Top 5, it was the only self-published novel on that list. I’m humbled and so grateful for fans who are spreading the word about “Species Unknown” and hope you will like the second book in the series too. It is scheduled for release in the fall.

Our family of readers is growing!

I’m so excited and blessed to have hundreds of wonderful readers. June was the best sales month “Species Unknown” has had since it was first published last November. Hundreds of people are now enjoying the adventures of Jake, Simon and Julie as they venture into the unknown.

I promised exciting news for you this month. Book two of the “Novels of the Watch” series is well underway. My hope is to release it this fall on Amazon. I’m also exploring avenues for broader distribution of my books in other outlets. There’s much I still have to learn.

Heartfelt thanks everybody. Your kind support means more to me than I could ever express.
